Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Sentio (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.sentio.agency. It should be read with our Privacy Notice.
What this policy covers
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and scripts that read or write information on your device. This policy is based on an audit of the Sentio marketing website codebase and the live production site at the date above.
Summary of our findings
- The live website does not currently set browser cookies for analytics, advertising or preferences when you visit.
- No local storage or session storage entries were present on a production page load during the audit.
- Vercel Web Analytics is enabled. It loads a first-party script and sends page-view data to a first-party endpoint. It does not set cookies in the default configuration used on this site.
- Vercel Speed Insights was not detected on the live site.
- Supabase authentication code exists only in an archived (non-active) part of the repository and is not loaded by the live marketing site. No Supabase browser cookies or storage entries were observed in production.
- The contact form opens your email client via
mailto:. It does not set cookies. - Fonts are self-hosted through Next.js. No third-party font, map, video or advertising widgets were detected.
Technologies we use
| Name / key | Provider | Purpose | Category | Party | Duration | When set | UK PECR consent | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| None (no cookie name) | Vercel Web Analytics | Measure anonymised page views and usage of this website. Visitors are identified using a server-side hash derived from the request, not a cookie. The hash resets daily according to Vercel’s documentation. | Analytics | First-party (script and endpoints served from sentio.agency) | No cookie stored on device | On page load (script requests /…/script.js and posts page views to /…/view) | Consent not required under PECR cookie rules for storage/access on the device, because no cookie or equivalent storage is set in the configuration observed. GDPR still applies to any personal data processed; see our Privacy Notice. | Injected on production as /[id]/script.js (Vercel Web Analytics). Not present as an npm dependency in this repository; enabled via the Vercel project. |
| Next.js / hosting operational requests | Vercel / Next.js | Deliver pages, static assets and fonts | Strictly necessary | First-party | No application cookie observed | On each request | Not applicable where no cookie is stored | next, app/layout.tsx, Vercel hosting |
Technologies checked and not found in production
- Vercel Speed Insights
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, Clarity, Segment, Mixpanel or similar
- Advertising or remarketing scripts
- Embedded maps or third-party video players
- Active Supabase Auth session cookies or local-storage keys
- Cookie consent / preference cookies (no banner is currently implemented)
HttpOnly and server-only cookies
Browser JavaScript cannot always see HttpOnly cookies. During the audit, document.cookie was empty and analytics responses did not expose a Set-Cookie header to the page. Any platform-level HttpOnly cookie that might be set outside application code is marked as requires confirmation if your hosting panel shows cookies we have not listed here.
Do we need a cookie banner?
Based on the technologies currently confirmed on the live site, Sentio does not set non-essential cookies before consent, and the analytics tool in use does not store cookies on the device. Under UK PECR rules that regulate storage of or access to information on a user’s device, a cookie consent banner is not currently required solely because of the technologies confirmed above.
If we later add cookies, non-essential storage, or analytics tools that store identifiers on your device, we will update this policy and implement consent where required.
How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Because this site does not currently rely on cookies for core functionality, blocking cookies should not prevent you from browsing the marketing pages.
Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy when our technologies change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
